Burn Calories with a methodology that doesn't hurt your knees.

History of Spinning
The training with stationary bicycles is something relatively new. Their use goes back to the 1980's with the athlete called John Goldberg. The name given to this way of training, "Spinning" comes from the company dedicated to produce bikes called Mad Dogg Athletics who developed a particular way of training focused on the right pedaling, monitoring the heart beat and an excellent motivation coming from a devoted instructor and energetic music.
How is a Spinning in Shanti Studio
The students set goals based on their heart rate, which can be measured with a heart rate monitor, borrowed each class by the staff of Shanti Studio (unless they already purchased their own). The Star Trac bikes have a knob of variable resistance that changes the effort made by the student to ride. Bicycles also have various options of adjustment of the seat and the handlebar.
Shanti Studio has a sound system to generate enthusiasm that brings the students to a more enjoyable exercise experience and a synchronized and constant pedaling. In addition, a plasma screen is used sometimes to display whether landscapes that will naturally be seen if cycling outdoors, or interesting musical and informative videos that are able to mitigate the efforts of less automotivated students.
In a typical class, the instructor creates routines designed to simulate a type of terrain and situations that would be presented by riding a bike outdoors. Some of the movements and positions include Hill, sprints, interval training or long-range. In fat burning mode training, users can burn around 400 to 600 calories in 45 minutes. this depends on the size, age and sex of the user. The cardiovascular nature of the Spinning along with the hot weather of Puerto Vallarta make the student to sweat much, so it is advisable to always count with a hand towel and at least, half a litre of water to hydrate. Both at the beginning and at the end of the class, the instructor performs light stretching exercises. At the end, students must clean their bicycles as a courtesy for next class students.
Finally, is highly recommended previously to have a medical review to determine that the student does not suffer from physical (cardiac, bones) problems that doesn´t allow you to do a cardio class as it is spinning.
